Ten Sisters
Ten Sisters is sourced from the Marlborough subregion called the Southern Valleys, known for its tropical fruit characteristics. The Southern Valleys is also the subregion closest to the mountains, creating a cooler climate that leads to later ripening and more vibrant flavors. The soil of the Southern Valleys is primarily loess — fine, windblown deposits derived from glaciers and is much older than in other subregions, with more gravel and clay.
